The 1984 Porsche Parade was held in Appleton, Wisconsin with the autocross held at Road America. Quite a few Nord Sterners participated.  You would think with all the track experience in Nord Stern, especially at Road America, that Nord Stern would clean up in the autocross.  Well, not so much.  As you can see here, the track was turned into a sea of pylons.  See this track map.  I believe you only got 3 runs.  For those of us who had experience at Road America it was all very confusing…

I ran a 212 in my 911SC for 10th in the class of 32 cars. The winner of the SC class ran a 191!  Kim Crumb in a 928 ran a 207 and won his class of 12 cars as did Hank Godfredson in a 356.  Dennis Guentzel in the yellow 911 that he sold to Joel Pfister was 7th in his class but ran a 190. Bill Groschen was 4th with a 214 in a class of 53 944’s.   The fast time was Ron Mistak in a modified 914 with a 170.
