Nord Stern hosted the 8th ever PCA Club Race August 26-27, 1993. Bruce Boeder was the champion and you can just imagine how much discussion it took to make it happen. The transition from doing DE events to actual races was a very large step. In retrospect, gearing up for racing made the DE processes much safer. (Ambulance? We don’t need no stinkin’ ambulance.) The cars were not nearly as fast as they are now. Only the very fastest “stock” class cars, 944 turbo and 911 Carrera, could break 2:00.
Good that we had these security badges to wear. Not sure what they were for but they were worn.
