🗳️ Big News: New Bylaws Vote January 1st
Earlier this year, an extensive review of Nord Stern’s Bylaws was performed in conjunction with the PCA National Policy Committee. Since this is a complete rewrite, we’ve created a ‘Key Changes Summary’ (below) to help you understand how this new framework benefits our club. Your vote is essential to finalizing this transition! You’ll receive an email from the election service on January 1st with a link and password to vote to approve the new Bylaws.
Key Changes Summary
- New Nord Stern Bylaws format is consistent with the required format as provided by the PCA Region Bylaws template.
- Aligns the Classes of Membership to be consistent with PCA National.
- Clarifies collection of dues and what constitutes a membership year; Nord Stern will collect a subscription fee for the Region’s news magazine (previously considered Regional dues).
- Clarifies appointment and dismissal of Standing Committee Chairs; establishes required Standing Committees and allows for Special Committees; importantly, establishes the “Nominating Committee”.
- Establishes a more defined election process.
Who Are We?
Founded in the spring of 1959, Nord Stern has enjoyed our cars and the camaraderie of its ever-growing membership. Over the course of time, the Club has had a unique and interesting history on both the local and national levels. 60th Anniversary Gala Slide Show
2019 was the 60th Anniversary of the Club. Things kicked off early in the year with the annual Holiday Party at the American Swedish Institute and closed with a 60th Wrap Party at Target Field.
