You are forgetting at least two other Nord Stern drivers Charlie Lloyd and Toby G(polish name, I can not remember the spelling. Toby only ran regionals with his 912, but I remember more than once being at his place to help build his engines. Charlie ran a speedster, sold it and later ran a 912. He ended its career putting the 912 off at turn 2 tearing both front corners off by trees. He qualified for the runoffs with the Speedster If I remember correctly.
I know dad helped build a couple of his engines.
Dad went to work at West Side and helped get the club access to the upper showroom to have a concourse in early May, first time they had an indoor concourse event.
The first winter working at Westside, the Porsche business was a little slow, West Side was sponsoring an up and coming driver by the name of Jerry Hansen. Needless to say the parts bins were wide open and dad built a pair of FV engines, by matching parts from the parts bins. No machining was allowed to balance and blue print the engine.
